Central Cheer places 3rd at State!

Congratulations to the Central Varsity Cheerleaders! This past weekend, September 13-14, the cheerleaders traveled to the University of Missouri in Columbia to compete in the MCCA State Cheerleading Championships. The team did an amazing job and brought home the 3rd place trophy in the Superlarge Division and were ranked 19th out of 111 teams competing in the state! Way to go girls! Additionally, the teams score is the highest ever received by any Central squad in the history of the program!

CHS Brings back Big Trophies!

This year the CHS Cheerleaders attended a National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Summer Camp at Great Wolf Lodge-KC, June 11th-13th. The Varsity, JV and Freshman teams were in attendence enjoying teamwork, skill building, swimming, and camp competition. Our teams did an amazing job! Among the awards earned were: 20+ All-American nominees and among those nominated several tried out and were named "All-American's"(K. Burns, M. Barnett, A. Vandermolen, G. Moore, K. McCrary, & K. Miller); Top All-American Score was earned by Aubrey Vandermolen; all three teams earned an NCA Spirit Stick and bids to compete at NCA Nationals; all three teams earned the S.P.O.T. Award for safety and stunt technique; the freshman squad earned the the 1st place Top Team Award in Game Time Cheer; the JV team earned 1st place Top Team in the Non-Varsity Level Performance Cheer; finally, the varsity earned 1st place Top Team Award in Varsity Level Performance Cheer! Our teams did AMAZING!
Congratulations to the Central Cheerleaders who recently competed at the Kansas City Regional Cheerleading Championships. This year CHS brought three outstanding teams: Varsity, JV and Freshman Squads! Each team peformed magnificently! The frosh squad placed 2nd in the Junior High Division, the JV placed 3rd in the JV Small Division and varsity placed... FIRST in the Varsity Superlarge Division! Varsity also earned a bid to state and will be competing in the State Cheerleading Championships held at the University of Missouri this September! Congrats to all!
